My youngest daughter and her husband are being true sponges soaking up the culture while living in Okinawa. For Christmas they shared a touch of their culture with me and send me a November Kokeshi doll and three origami Kokeshi bookmarks.
I thought I would try making a bookmark but after close inspection, I decided I should probably stick to coloring and forget trying to fold little tiny pieces of paper to make a doll. Naturally, I turned to digis and I found Miyahko Fan at Whimsie Doodles. Looking through my stash, I discovered Chinese coins that I thought would compliment the bookmark. The rubberstamp I used says Faith, Hope and Love. I hope that my creation is not offensive to either culture.
