Five Friday Favorites

Another Friday. Is it August yet? 9 Fridays from now, I'll be giggling, squeeing and oogling with The Pervies and Naughty Authors 1&2. Oh yeah, and That Guy. I love Fridays. It's the end of the work week. It's when most movies come out. It's when downtown REALLY comes alive. It's when I get to troll B&N for awesome bargain priced reads. It's when the hotties come to play at the beach.

Here's my Five Friday Faves:

Amazon's Sunshine Deals. Holy Pervy Trinity! My Kindle feels heavier and my wallet feels lighter. Amazon is KILLING me with these deals. Some of my favorite authors and books at a wicked low price? Yes please!  Avon is also marking down some of their books. I've got a TBR pile/queue as high as Mount Olympus. Greeks, shifters, demons,vampires,cowboys, Lords, Dukes, Highlanders, Rockstars, men in uniform. Where do I even begin?!

Elisabeth Naughton's Marked. Oh yes, now I remember why I loved Greek mythology. It's such a nice change from vampires, shifters, werewolves and what have you. I'm 100 pages into the book and so far, it's intriguing. Theron, a descendant of Hercules, must wed the Princess of the Argoleans. But the princess is dying so he must find her half sister to save her. Meanwhile, there is unrest in the kingdom. Atalanta wants out of the Underworld and her immortality, and she will stop at nothing to do so.  Read an excerpt

Jenn LeBlanc. So the lovely Rita J of Not Another Romance Blog has come up with an awesome concept (which will be revealed soon) and the Pervies and Jenn have been video conferencing quite a bit the past week. Anywho, Jenn decided to read a super panty twisting excerpt from her next book. She had to change the name of the heroine so as not to spoil the surprise. She picked my name as the stand in, which totally made my week. Turns out, the Pervies had a giggling fit. What was supposed to be sexy and involving a piano scene turned into a falling-out-of-the-chair-can't-stop-laughing-fest. I still think she should permanently change the heroines name to Kati. #TeamKatiPerryForever



X-Men: First Class.Fassbender, McAvoy, Kevin Bacon (?!), Oliver Platt, Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss in The Hunger Games movie), Rose Byrne (from Bridesmaids), Edi Gathegi (Laurent from Twilight), Lucas Till (from Hannah Montana movie), Zoe Kravitz (that's random), January Jones (who's the baby daddy?), Brandon Fehr (Booth's baby brother-what?!), AND 2 guest cameos. How's that for a movie?

Battlestar Galactica. It's streaming on Netflix. All fifty bajillion episodes. Why is it one of my faves this week you ask? Wellll, Mr. Kati has been binging on it and I've clocked in quite a bit of reading time. Of course, I'm still cooking dinner and such. Apparently the man can't fend for himself but it's all good in my hood. It has also allowed me some face time with the Pervies and Naughty Author 2 and the fabulous Heather of The Book Reading Gals. Woot woot and a RHHPH Dance Party!
