Blog Tour: Guest Post and Giveaway with Gina Gordon

WELCOME TO THE BOOK TOUR:
Hello wonderful readers! Today I've got Gina Gordon, author of BOUND IN LINGERIE, guest posting. You know how I love my book covers and well, I had to jump at the chance to host Gina after looking at her cover. Let's give Gina a big Texas "Howdy" and learn what seduction is all about.

HOWDY GINA!!!

MEET GINA:

At a young age, Gina knew she wanted to share her stories with the world. It wasn't until she picked up her first romance novel that she knew how those stories would take shape. Her characters demanded hot and steamy sex. Great sex! And lots of it!

Gina, a self proclaimed happily ever after junkie, loves spinning contemporary tales of knee-bending first kisses, unconditional love and super-hot love scenes.

When she isn't lost in her own world of romance, Gina spends her time reading, baking cupcakes or catching up on celebrity gossip. Gina lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband and lovable dog.

GUEST POST:
The Art of Seduction by Gina Gordon
When I think about writing this post, I laugh. Me, a seductress? Not likely. Me, skillful in the art of seduction? Maybe.

Although I wouldn't call myself a Mistress of Seduction in my real life, my imagination sure does know a thing or two about seduction. I've had women fall under a man's spell with a few simple words. I've had men cave at the sight of a woman on her knees. I've had my characters seduced on an elevator, in a fitting room, in a park, and even on public transit. Seduction doesn't have hard and fast rules. Seduction depends on the moment, the individuals, their history. But there's one thing that is always necessary for a good seduction plan...and that is confidence.

Seduction is all about confidence. After all, if you don't have confidence, how can you ever expect another person to fall prey to your naughty ways. Confidence is sexy. Ask any woman who's ever swooned over an alpha male.

So where does the "art" come into play? I think the art of seduction is making a man or woman believe you want them. We all want to be wanted. Especially by a tall, dark and handsome cowboy with perfectly faded jeans that hug their tight bottom...but I digress.

This skill can be verbal. What does a person need to hear in order to believe. In a woman's case, simply tell her you took out the garbage and her panties will drop faster than you can say seduction. The skill can also be silent, a simple touch, a light graze over the right spot.

There is nothing more fun than coming up with new and exciting seduction tactics. My favorite seduction scenes are in Bound In Lingerie, my latest release from Lyrical Press. Amie Woods, my heroine, comes up with some very creative ways to seduce her hero, Milton Campbell. Amie possesses the skill and has no problem getting Milton to fall for her advances. Why? Because she is the most confident female character I have ever written. She knows what she wants, who she wants it with and how she wants it. My poor hero never stood a chance.

Anyone care to divulge their super secret seduction tips? What's said on the blog, stays on the blog (: Make sure to leave a comment. I'm giving away an e-book copy of Bound In Lingerie to one lucky person.

Thanks for having me!

Thanks Gina for stopping by the blog!!!

BOUND IN LINGERIE:
Being bound together was never part of the plan.

Amie Woods is living the life she wants, but her search for a man who can keep up with her sexual demands has tested her faith in Happily Ever After. Milton Campbell bears the weight of the world on his shoulders, but when he has the opportunity to re-ignite old friendships, it reminds him of a time in his life when he knew how to have fun.

When the two meet, sparks fly--and not the good kind. Their dislike for one another is second only to the sexual attraction simmering between them. A twist of circumstance lands them in the same bed, and Milton jumps at the opportunity to put his pleasure in Amie's hands. A two-week fling might be exactly what he needs to bring back his love of life, and Amie can’t throw away the opportunity to be herself--both in and out of the bedroom.

At first, they seemed all wrong for each other. But when "casual" builds into something more, Amie and Milton must decide if they're willing to risk being bound together by love.

Contains explicit language, sex and a torturous strip tease in leather.

EXCERPT:
“I…” Milton was speechless. He had never been asked that question before, he had never been presented with the opportunity to leave his sexual satisfaction in the hands of someone else.

The pink bra Amie wore cupped her breasts perfectly, the slight swell spilling out just enough to make his head spin as she leaned over, smoothing her hands up his bare chest to his shoulders. “Milton?”

“You want to tie me up?”

“I think the question is, do you want to be tied up?” Her eyes sparkled with desire but also something else. Something dangerous and enticing. Something he had forgotten a long time ago--freedom.

He was a successful businessman running a multi-million dollar corporation, and that meant he called the shots. He pulled the strings. Not the other way around. But maybe Aleks was right. Maybe he should have a little fun while he was in town. And this firecracker seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Milton lifted himself off the mattress and hovered over her body. “I could have you right now.” One quick movement and he straddled her, while his fingers made quick work of her bra. He had noticed the front clasp during his inappropriate staring. “Take you any way I want.”

He saw the fire flare in her eyes at his actions, but she remained cool. “You could…but you won’t. And I have a feeling, not unless I tell you to.”

I liked it.

REVIEW:

Milton Campbell is a stuck up corporate type. Amie Woods is a New Age wild child. Basically, this book is about opposites attracting.

Milton first spies Amie naked in the window of a lingerie store. He's being a little creepy just staring at her, hidden by darkness. He later meets Amie at the co-ed baby shower of one of his University buddies. She tears him a new one after hearing what business he's in. His vision of the lovely angel in the window does not match with the angry woman in front of him.

Amie is flighty and doesn't want to take on any type of responsibility even when one of her best friends wants to go into business with her. Her grandparents were forced to move out of their home, full of her childhood memories, due to the land owner selling the property and a new hospital was built. From the moment she hears what Milton does, she gives him a piece of her mind.

Between Milton's not wanting to marry and Amie looking for Mr. Right, you know it's a recipe for deliciously sexy disaster. Amie thinks Milton has a stick up his ass. After ending up in bed together, thanks to their friends, Amie and Milton get hot and heavy. She volunteers to teach him how to have fun on one condition, she calls the shots. Milton is a bit hesitant but if sex is the reward for having fun, he's totally in!

FAVORITE QUOTE: "Amie never expected to feel honest emotions toward the man she hated. But hate was no longer the strongest emotion that came to mind when she thought of him. Hate was not the motion filling her heart at this very moment. Far from it."

OVERALL: It was a great opposites attract story. Milton and Amie had explosive chemistry from the first time they met until the very end. Amie and Milton are likable characters but they just didn't do it for me. Sure, they sleep with each other within hours of knowing one another and Amie takes control when it comes to the sex but I don't think she was aggressive enough. For someone who likes to try new things and wants to take control in the bedroom, she sort of did. At the strip club, sexting Milton, doing it while hiking. If you're going to take control, take control. Don't let the man take control sometimes. However, I would read another book by Ms. Gordon. The stories of the other characters have peaked my interest.

W...W...W...Wednesdays is a weekly meme MizB of Should Be Reading

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

So, here's my answers:
*Click on the covers to read excerpts/learn more.*
What are you currently reading?
Serendipity by Carly Phillips. Yeah, I know it seems like I've been reading this book forever. But I've had to get a few review books under my belt. This one was a leisure book. I'm 2/3 of the way done.

A Touch of Crimson by Sylvia Day. Yes, this one I've been reading forever too. The galley makes me go cross eyed, the way it's formatted. I'm almost done with it though. This book releases 10/4 so be on the lookout!

What did you recently finish reading?
Every Scandalous Secret by Gayle Callen. Review pending on this one. The heroine was a total spitfire. She held her own against the hero. This is the third book of the Scandalous Lady series and we finally find out who the real nude model is. We also find out who wins the wager among the 2 sisters and their cousin, and the 3 gentlemen friends who find them sneaking in trying to steal the nude painting off the wall at a gentleman's club.

Mistress by Mistake by Maggie Robinson. A second read through of this book. I read it earlier this year. It's still hot. The heroine is still a sassy spinster. The hero still has super magical appendages. Read my review here.

A Midnight Dance by Lila DiPasqua. Oh my stars! By far, my favorite twist in the re-telling of the CINDERELLA story. Jules de Moutier is my new favorite hero. This book is a scorcher. Like short circuit your e-reader hot.

The Making of a Duchess by Shana Galen. Okay, so I sort of read the series backwards. This is the first book in Ms. Galen's Sons of the Revolution series. There's a character in this book that ties in Galen's latest, Lord and Lady Spy. Review pending on this one also.

What do you think you’ll read next?
Bound in Lingerie by Gina Gordon. Yup. I've had this on the list of to read next for a few weeks. I'm finally going to get around it since Ms. Gordon will be guest posting next month. The cover is sexy.

*stares at giant TBR pile and shudders* So many books, so little time. Choices, choices.

• What do you think you’ll read next?

So, here's my answers:
• What are you currently reading?
Every Scandalous Secret by Gayle Callen. The final conclusion to the "Scandalous Lady" trilogy involving a scandalously nude lady of Society in a painting, 3 gentleman friends and 2 sisters and their cousin. A game of passion, discovery and mystery. Ms. Callen will be on the blog next month so be on the lookout.

Serendipity by Carly Phillips. A fabulous pink cover (I'm a cover ho), a story of second chances, a woman ready to move on from news worthy scandal and a bad boy hell bent on making things right. What more could you ask for?

• What did you recently finish reading?
Real Men Will by Victoria Dahl. Okay, so this book doesn't release until late October but it sure put a smile on my face. A wonderful ending to the Donovan Brothers Brewery trilogy. This one is a scorcher! No kidding. It's always the quiet ones... Be on the lookout for my review.

• What do you think you’ll read next?
Bound in Lingerie by Gina Gordon. A sexy cover (Imma cover ho. Sue me.) and the author will be stopping by the blog next month.

In Pursuit of a Scandalous Lady by Gayle Callen. I guess I'm reading this trilogy backwards but according to Ms. Callen's site, the books can be read out of order. Evidently, the events in the books overlap each other so this will be great.

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

So, here's my answers:

• What are you currently reading?
Real Men Will by Victoria Dahl. Ah yes, the conclusion to the Donovan Brothers Brewery trilogy and it has been quite the ride so far. This is Eric's book, the eldest Donovan and Beth Cantrell, the owner of an erotic boutique. So far I've laughed pretty hard to the point my sides hurt and I've wanted to throw the book at the wall several times (the galley is on my Kindle-- *pets Kindle lovingly* precioussss).
Serendipity by Carly Phillips. I received this ARC from a Goodreads giveaway and have finally started to tackle it. I'm still halfway through it. The poor book is splayed out on the end table because apparently I can't seem to find a bookmark even though I brought home a ton from RomCon11. A story of second chances between a bad boy turned millionaire and the daughter of a disgraced ponzi schemer.

• What did you recently finish reading?
Romancing the Countess by Ashley March. Gah! There was a blackout while I was in the middle of reading this book. I lit a few candles, strained my eyes and managed to finish reading before my bedtime. Read my review here.

Bad Boys Do by Victoria Dahl. Oh that Jamie Donovan, taking up with his instructor. He's definitely hot for teacher. Olivia Bishop isn't exactly breaking any rules by sleeping with Jamie since she's not giving grades and the class is only instructional.

• What do you think you’ll read next?
Every Scandalous Secret by Gayle Callen. This is my first Gayle Callen book. This is the conclusion to her "Scandalous Lady" trilogy. I am participating in her book blog tour next month and have agreed to do a review and host Gayle on the blog. Be on the lookout, there's a giveaway accompanying that.

Bound by Lingerie by Gina Gordon. A new to me author and I am participating in her book blog tour next month. It's got quite a sexy cover AND title. What's not to like?
