We love our cover candy like any hot blooded romance reader but cover models at conventions as the main attraction may be just too much drama. A well written post by Stella Price (AAD Convention Director) about why they don't have models running around at Authors After Dark makes a lot of sense. Convention attendees pay to meet and hang with their favorite authors (um pub crawl anyone???), not drool and swoon over a nice set of abs. Don't get us wrong. We love our models but it's the authors that give them the opportunity to bare all or some. Without a sigh worthy story, there wouldn't be bared torso or a half open shirt on the front of our books. What do you think?
